Vladimir Solís - Project Management Officer
Vladimir Solis provides high level support to his team of project managers, giving strategic insight based on his extensive experience in project management and systems development. Along with his peers, Vladimir guarantees that his projects meet time and budget requirements and to date has continually fulfilled his clients' expectations
Vladimir has over 18 years of experience in systems and database architecture. Prior to joining Avantica Technologies, Vladimir was IT Manager at a leading commercial bank, where he was responsible for all software development, IT operations and technology strategy. Vladimir has a BS and an MS in Systems Engineering from the University of Costa Rica, he also has PMP certification and is a Certified Scrum Master.
Juan C. Porras - QA Unit Manager
Juan Carlos applies his extensive project management experience in the strategic oversight and coordination of numerous projects, ensuring they are executed successfully. He also formed Avantica's QA Division and only months later, developed various metrics including statistics and quality control which helped the company see record results in project management. Juan Carlos also played a critical role in many of Avantica's breakthrough projects both for clients and for the company, including Avantica's creation of software solutions which are now being used by 11 financial banks in Costa Rica.
Juan Carlos has over 19 years experience in systems development and database architecture, including the systems development for the financial and pension fund sector of many institutions in Latin America. Prior to joining Avantica Technologies, Juan Carlos worked as an international consultant with Canadian and E.U.A companies in the worldwide micro-finance sector, developing and implementing projects for many countries in Latin America and Africa. Juan Carlos has a BS in Systems Engineering from the University of Costa Rica. He keeps a work-life balance by deep sea diving and enjoying music.
Ronald Hernández - Mobile Unit Manager
Ronald Hernandez is the director of the mobile development unit at Avantica Technologies. An engineer with a passion to create innovative and attractive products and a self-proclaimed "early adopter" of new and exciting technologies. Ronald oversees a multidisciplinary team of talented engineers to execute projects for clients in diverse latitudes. Its vision is to grow the Mobile development unit in a manner that allows the products to deliver interesting and technologically challenging products to corporate customers and small businesses in different markets in which Avantica focuses.
Ronald has 10 years experience in developing custom systems, working in sectors such as banking, medical systems, marketing and internet advertising, photography and entertainment among others. Ronald earned his Bachelor Degree on Computer Science at the Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica, where he also completed advanced graduate studies. Additionally, he is a Certified Scrum Master.
