Avantica Technologies and Northek join strengths

Funding a new firm in Costa Rica Northern Region for outsourcing and mobile applications development.

Costa Rican firms Avantica Technologies located in San José, Costa Rica and Northek Software based in San Carlos, Costa Rica have funded a new firm Avantek starting operations on October 2009.

Avantica Technologies will continue its normal operation meanwhile Northek will be absorbed in the new resulting company.  The current management team at Northek will remain in charge of the new company which will be also based in San Carlos (north of Costa Rica).

One of the goals is to grow the current Northek operation from 25 positions to 75, by exploring new markets independently.

"We are going to leverage the talent of the region. There are great opportunities for development.", said Luis C. Chaves (Avantica Technologies, COO).

Jose P. Rodriguez , General Manager of Northek explained that they were looking for a partner to help in the company  revamp.  Northek already has clients in Mexico, New York, Illinois, Connecticut. By being part of the Group Avantica they can start using the management and technical experience plus the logistic support of the company in Silicon Valley.
