According to the Wall Street Journal, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella is preaching a more nimble approach to building software as part of the company’s transformation to “reinvent productivity” in a “mobile-first and cloud-first world.”  The effort, known as agile software development, is designed to lower costs and hone operations as the company focuses on building cloud and mobile software, say analysts.

Avantica applauds the move.  As a leading nearshore cloud and mobile development and testing services specialist in Latin America, Avantica's Agile experienced engineers in Costa Rica and Peru are co-engineering with customers using Jira, Rally, Pivotal Tracker and other Agile tools to rapidly deliver code.  Made possible by time-zone proximity - Costa Rica is one hour ahead of San Francisco and the same time as Austin.
